Some individuals regard IP as inherently valuable. Somehow just having a patent or trademark is believed to be valuable. But if you’re not integrating IP into a broader commercial strategy, or analysing it from the perspective of your competitors, you’re likely to be wasting time and money. You may decide that you don’t need to do anything about IP (an intentional strategy), but you should never just ignore it. The session will be delivered Nigel Somerville Roberts, a former top technologist at P&G. Now a consultant in partnership with DJS Process Consulting Ltd. Nigel has a wealth of experience in IP and takes a refreshing approach, driven by the fact that he’s not a patent attorney.
Why Should I Attend?
You’ll leave the workshop with a better understanding of the value and vulnerabilities within your current business proposition and how they might be integrated into an IP strategy. You’ll also gain insights into the ways that competitors might attack your business. Lunch will be provided, plus you’ll have chance to network with a select group of fellow innovators.
